1.8 percent of Brigham Young University-Provo students played sports on university teams in 2016-2017


In 2016-2017, 1.8 percentage of Brigham Young University-Provo students participated in collegiate sports, according to data made available by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES).

Brigham Young University-Provo has 31,233 undergraduate students, of which 51 percent are men and 49 percent are women, and a total student body of 34,334 students. Of these students, 344 men and 291 women represented the school by participating in one or more of the sports with teams at the school.

This total does not include students playing intramural sports.

According to NCES, 4.3 percent of students enrolled at institutions of higher education with sports teams were on teams.

The sports at Brigham Young University-Provo with the most participants are all track combined (215), football (128) and swimming and diving (62).
