Graduates earn 6,468 degrees, certificates from Utah State University


About 21 percent of the 6,468 degrees and certificates handed out by Utah State University in 2017-18 were to students in liberal arts and sciences, general studies and humanities programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Logan conferred 1190 associate's degrees and 168 bachelor's degrees in liberal arts and sciences, general studies and humanities programs.

But the single most popular program was for a associate's degree in general studies. Data shows the school gave out 1190 associate's degrees in general studies, followed by 323 bachelor's degrees in general economics and 299 bachelor's degrees in general communication sciences and disorders.

The university enrolled 27,679 students for 2017-18, including 24,618 in undergraduate programs and 3,061 in graduate programs.
