AAA Travel's Senior Vice President, Paula Twidale, stated, "Orlando is the top choice for Spring Break travelers, while Fort Lauderdale and Miami are the two most popular domestic cruise ports." She emphasized that many travelers are seeking warm weather, pools, beaches, and outdoor adventures during this time of year, making Florida an ideal destination. Additionally, Twidale noted the significant increase in cruise bookings for March and April, with a 28% overall increase and a 60% increase for cruises departing from South Florida.

According to AAA Travel data, international Spring Break trips are also on the rise compared to last year. Flight bookings for international destinations have increased by 20%, and hotel bookings are up by 37% for March and April. Popular European cities such as London, Paris, Rome, Dublin, and Amsterdam are among the top choices for travelers this Spring Break season.

In terms of cruising trends, AAA Travel highlights that more travelers are booking cruises further in advance, with many Spring Break cruises already sold out months in advance. For those considering booking a cruise for the summer, AAA Travel recommends doing so early to secure a spot, especially for popular destinations like Alaska.

For families traveling with teens, AAA Trip Canvas provides tips on the best cruise lines suited for different preferences. Suggestions include Royal Caribbean for onboard activities, Carnival for teen clubs, Disney Cruise Line for families with kids of different ages, Princess Cruises for recreational tournaments, Holland America Line for entertainment options, and Celebrity Cruises for family accommodations.

To aid travelers in their international journeys, AAA recommends planning ahead and reserving airport parking in advance with The Parking Spot. Additionally, obtaining an International Driving Permit (IDP) before traveling is crucial for those planning to drive at their destination. AAA is the only authorized entity in the U.S. to issue an IDP, a document that translates a valid U.S. driver's license into multiple languages.

For those interested in visiting multiple European cities, AAA Trip Canvas offers tours that cover various destinations, such as Treasures of Europe, London and Paris, Italian Vistas, Netherlands, Belgium, and France, and Best of Ireland and Scotland. Travelers can also explore more cruise options and find travel inspiration on AAA's free travel-planning tool, Trip Canvas.
