Tuition and fees rose 6.9 percent for 2017-18 at Southwest Technical College, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

Utah students paid $370 to attend the public school this year $24 more than the $346 charged for 2016-17.

Data shows 19 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 5 students received grants or scholarships totaling $25,712.

Including all undergraduates, 228 students used grants or scholarships totaling $460,600.
