39.8% unemployed in Mount Pleasant in 2017

39.8 percent of Mount Pleasant residents between 16 and 65 years old were unemployed in 2017, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The percentage of unemployed residents was greater than the statewide total of 32.1 percent for this demographic group. In 2017 the total Mount Pleasant population reached 2,498.
